Do you SEE? I mean really SEE what I SEE?

Or what I don’t SEE?

(Spring?)

Do you ever have something for so long that you quit seeing it?

I live with things out of place or not finished in my house all the time. We have so many unfinished projects! But today I saw something I could fix! heehee!

I bought this mirror with shells glued on the frame a long time ago.

I’ve shown it to you several times!

But did you notice there were a few shells missing?

IPDSCN0342[4]

I finally sat down with some glue and pretty shells and fixed it!

And I also glued tiny shells around this little fairy that I bought at the thrift store.

I still need to put a special shell on her headband.

Ask me later if I finished it!

Please! heehee!

I think many of us see small things that need doing and are surprised how little time it takes to do them when we actually get around to it. The repair to the mirror and the addition of the shells to the little fairy are wonderful touches that make a big difference. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

Hi Miss Lavender Dreams,

So, did you finish the fairy's headband? Giggle.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Hugs,

Hi Wendy,

Are you going to send me a Christmas picture of you so I can put it on my Blog sidebar? Hugs &
Happy Turkey Day.

Very pretty fixes and the little lavender fairy is beautiful in her shell garden. So does she have her headband yet? I noticed in spring that you were using a bit of Christmas to the left of the photo. I always have a little Christmas around all year through.

I just love your shell themed rooms, I glued the shells you sent me to my bathroom mirror!

Oh, we have that in common...so many unfinished projects!! I bought paint for family room/kitchen that still stares at me on the floor; you've inspired me that I might just get it done before Christmas...yeah, right!!

Getting those unfinished projects done is a real stress buster...how many times do you walk past something and say, gotta do that...
Now you don't.

Great job.

I adore the shells around the fairy!!! I have lots of projects that I start and never finish...like replacing the shelf paper in my cupboards. Someday....sigh.

That is funny and yes, I see things out of place, or missing a lot around here, just too tired most of the time to pay attention;') Your mirror and little fairy did turn out pretty!

Diane- That is a good job done...and for your info, I never noticed the missing shells. Your little figurine is really cute. A shell on her hair will be the perfect finishing touch- xo Diana

Yes, I'm guilty of letting those "not quite finished" projects become part of the permanent decor, too. In fact, we have now been in our house 2 years, and the bajillion holes left by the previous owners from removing their flat screen tv are still there staring me in the face everyday....haha!

The mirror looks wonderful....and it's amazing what a little spruce up can do to a thrifty figurine :)

Happy Thanksgiving, Diane!
What a fun post. Having grown up on the Oregon Coast I am drawn to shells...shells...shells! I love beachcombing for hours and always am thrilled with the tiny treasures that God has planted in the sea. God doesn't miss a beat! No matter where we are we see His artistic fingerprints.
Oh...My goodness! I love your pretty red quilt. It makes your lanai come alive with Christmasey appeal.
Blessings, my sweet friend.

I didn't see the missing shell, because the background was the same color as the surrounding shells.
I'm sure I have stopped seeing many of the imperfections here at my house, because they sit there for so long... I used to keep a list, and then the list got too long and depressing... I mean really, to keep a list of every little thing that was wrong and needed to be fixed? Who does that? ;-) (besides me)

I just love that cute little fairy. I would have never noticed the missing shells..

Happy Thanksgiving.
